FAQs

What is transparent lace?

A lace frontal is a piece of lace fabric, usually made of Swiss lace or French lace, designed to be worn on the frontal line of the head, often as part of the installation of a wig or extension hair. The lace frontal is used to create a more natural appearance by simulating the frontal hairline and allowing the hair to be styled back or to the side in a realistic manner. It is popular among those looking for a sleek, realistic finish to their hairstyles.

What is Lace HD?

An HD lace, also called HD lace, is an improvement on traditional lace used in wigs and hair extensions. The main characteristic of HD lace is that it is thinner, more transparent and more discreet than regular lace. This increased transparency allows the HD lace to blend more naturally with the scalp, giving the illusion that the hair is growing straight from the head. This creates a very realistic and undetectable appearance.

HD lace is particularly popular with those looking for a high quality wig or hair extensions with an ultra natural finish. It offers a smoother, more transparent appearance, making it less visible, even up close or in bright lighting. However, due to its thinness, HD lace may require more delicate handling during application and maintenance to avoid tearing or damage.

What is the difference between transparent Lace and HD Lace?

The main difference between transparent lace and HD lace is their transparency and appearance. Here is how they differ:

1. Transparency:
  - Transparent lace: Transparent lace is a little thicker than HD lace, but it is still more transparent than regular lace. It has enough transparency to blend with most skin tones, but it may be slightly visible under bright light or up close.
  - HD lace: HD lace is the finest and most transparent of the two. It is designed to blend almost perfectly with the scalp, making it very difficult to spot, even in or near bright lighting.

2. Appearance:
  - Sheer Lace: Sheer lace can give a very natural appearance, but it may require a little more makeup or powder to blend well with skin tone.
  - HD Lace: HD lace offers an extremely natural, almost invisible appearance. It requires less makeup and blends naturally with the skin, giving the illusion that hair is growing straight from the scalp.

In summary, HD lace is the thinner and more transparent of the two, providing the best natural appearance. However, sheer lace is also a high quality option, but it may be slightly more visible than HD lace in certain lighting conditions. Choosing between the two will depend on your personal preferences and the finish you are looking for from your wig or hair extensions.

HD lace is more fragile?

Indeed, HD lace is generally finer and more delicate than transparent lace or regular lace. Its thinness can make it more fragile and prone to tearing or damage if not handled carefully during application, removal and maintenance. It is important to be gentle when working with HD lace wigs or extensions to avoid damaging the lace.

Here are some tips for caring for HD lace and avoiding damage:
- Handle it with care, avoiding pulling or stretching the lace.
- Avoid rubbing or scratching the lace, especially with nails or sharp objects.
- Use hair products specifically designed for lace wigs, and be sure to rinse them well.
- When applying, use adhesives or glues suitable for HD lace to minimize residue and potential damage.

By following these tips and being gentle in handling, you can extend the life of your HD lace wig or extensions while maintaining their realistic appearance.

The 10 important steps to maintain your lace wig

Cleaning your lace wig is important to maintain its cleanliness, freshness and durability. Here is a step-by-step guide to cleaning a lace wig:

1. Preliminary disentangling:
   - Before washing the wig, make sure to detangle it thoroughly using a soft-bristled toothbrush or wide-toothed comb. Start at the ends and gradually work your way up to the base.

2. Wash with lukewarm water:
  - Avoid very hot water, as it can damage synthetic hair or weaken the glue used for lace wigs.

3. Shampoo:
   - Use a mild shampoo, conditioner or mask to remove any residue

4. Dip and shake gently:
  - Immerse the lace wig in water with the diluted shampoo. Gently agitate the wig to allow the shampoo to penetrate and clean the fibers. Avoid rubbing vigorously, as this may cause your hair to tangle.

5. Packaging:
  - You can use a conditioner specially designed for wigs or synthetic hair to soften the fibers. Apply it avoiding the roots, as this can weaken the lace or glue.

6-Draining:
  - Place the wig on a clean towel and squeeze gently to remove excess water. Do not twist or twist the hair, as this may damage it.

9. Drying:
  - Let the wig dry naturally on a wig stand or wig mannequin. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat, as this can damage the fibers.

10. Hairstyle:
    - Once the wig is completely dry, you can style it according to your preference using styling tools at low temperatures, but avoid high temperatures.

By following these steps, you can keep your lace wig clean and in good condition for long-lasting use. The frequency of cleaning will depend on the frequency of use and the environment in which you wear the wig.

What is a 13x4 lace

A 13x4 lace is a specific type of lace used in making wigs or hair extensions. The numbers "13x4" refer to the dimensions of the lace, indicating its size and shape.

- "13" refers to the width of the lace, measured in inches. In this case the lace is 13 inches wide.

- "4" refers to the depth of the lace, measured in inches. In this case the lace is 4 inches deep.

A 13x4 lace is commonly used to create frontal wigs because it provides a large enough lace area to cover a significant portion of the forehead and allow for various hairstyles, such as wearing the hair back or to the side. It also provides a natural appearance by simulating the front hairline.

Wigs and hair extensions with 13x4 lace are popular for their styling versatility and realistic look. However, there are also other sizes of lace, such as 13x6 or 360, which offer different options in terms of style and coverage.

What is a 4x4, 5x5, 7x7 closure?

The terms "4x4 closure", "5x5" and "7x7" refer to different types of closures used in the manufacture of wigs or hair extensions. These numbers indicate the dimensions of the lace closure, thereby determining the size of the coverage area on the scalp. Here is what each of these terms means:

1. 4x4 fence:
  - A 4x4 closure measures 4 inches wide by 4 inches deep. It is designed to cover a small part of the scalp, usually on the top or front of the head. It creates a realistic front line and allows you to cover a small area of empty spaces.

2. 5x5 fence:
  - A 5x5 closure measures 5 inches wide by 5 inches deep. It offers a slightly larger coverage area than the 4x4 closure, allowing more versatility in hairstyles. It can be positioned in different ways to achieve different styles.

3. 7x7 Closure:
  - A 7x7 closure measures 7 inches wide by 7 inches deep. It's the largest of the three, providing more coverage on the scalp. A 7x7 closure allows you to create a variety of hairstyles and is ideal if you want more coverage or a more versatile style.

Choosing between these types of closures depends on your hairstyle preferences, the amount of coverage you want, and the look you want to achieve. Each of these can be used to create a realistic finish on a wig or hair extensions.
